At present LEDs are very hot in China.Many people think that the LED is the new product appeared some years ago, but the truth is some people started LED-related industry early in the 1970s.The LED industrialization happened in the eighties, there are more than 100 companies in domestic, 95% of manufacturers are engaged in production, packaging, the required dies are almost all imported from abroad. In 1990 it is the growth period. Limited by the LED material, LED display has not been widely used.
LED display had a rapid development from 1990 to 1995. In the nineties,because of development of information technology, LED display had new results in LED materials and control technology. Blue LED chip and full-color LED display entered into the market,computer and microelectronics technology, video control technology realized 16-level grayscale display and 64-gray, the screen dynamic display was greatly increased. LED display had a rapid growth during this period with several hundred million dollars for the annual output, LED products have wide applications in financial, securities, annual output value, Sports, airports, railway stations, road traffic, advertising, postal, telecommunications and many other fields, especially in 1993, LED display had broaden the market.   
Generally speaking, the domestic LED industry is still in the growth stage, the market has not been mature. All indicates that the LED in China, will have a very great potential market.
