Advices In Designing High Efficient And Reliable LED lirghts

In 2011, Australia has been the first to prohibit the use of incandescent lamps which is good to promote massive popularity of LED lamps, then,the European Union, Japan, Canada and other countries will prohibit the use of incandescent lamps in 2012, LED lamps lighting penetration will be further improved, which makes thousands of LED lighting fixtures makers in China excited,because a huge market will be open, this time China's manufacturers will play a leading role. However, it should be seen, LED lamps to be universal,  we not only need to significantly reduce costs, but also need to solve problems of energy efficiency and reliability, as to how to solve these problems, vice president of marketing from Power Integrations, Doug Bailey shared five advices in designing high efficient and reliable LED lights.
1:Do not use the bipolar power devices 
As the bipolar power devices are cheaper than the MOSFET,so some of the designers will use bipolar power devices to reduce the cost of LED drivers, this will seriously affect the reliability of the circuit, the correct approach is to use MOSFET devices, life of MOSFET devices is far longer than the bipolar devices.
2:Do not use MOSFET with 600V
MOSFET with 600V is cheaper, many people believe that the input of LED lighting is 220V, 600V is sufficient, but many times the circuit voltage will be up to 340V, in a surge of time, the MOSFET with 600V can be easily breakdown , thus affecting the life of the LED lamps, in fact, 600V MOSFET may save some costs, but the cost is the entire board, so do not use the MOSFET with 600V, it is better to use MOSFET which is over 700V.
3:Try not to use electrolytic capacitors
4:Try to use integrated MOSFET
If the power of LED lamps is not very high, Doug recommends to use driver products of integrated MOSFET, because on-resistance of integrate MOSFET is low, resulting in fewer calories, this is very important for LEDs.
5:Try to use circuit with single-structure
